'Geotjain' combines the Gwangju dialect with the present progressive form 'ing' to express the desire to enjoy walking together along Geumnamro. In line with Gwangju's declaration to transition into a 'Big Three City' (public transportation, bicycles, pedestrians), the event aims to overcome the climate crisis and create a street that harmonizes rest and communication in the city through activating pedestrian-friendly zones. In 2026, it will be held on the first Saturday of each month from April to November, providing citizens with a free environment to walk, while operating various experience programs and cultural performances.
